Get a Grip-n-Grip™

This no-slip mat will hold your fabric in place while you mark, paint, or draw on it. Then it stays in place while you heat-set the fabric. Perfect for use with Shiva® Paintstiks®.

The Grip-n-Grip also holds fabric tight for hooping, and you can put it under your sewing machine to keep it from sliding. Best of all, Grip-n-Grip rolls up into a tube and slips right into your bag so you can carry it to class or guild meetings.

Add Sparkle with Crystalina Fibers

Crystalina

This new product from Textura Trading Co. is somewhat coarser than the original Angelina, lending a more textured feel and crystaline appearance.

Like
Angelina fibers and Textiva fusible film, Crystalina fibers are heat-bondable and can be mixed with other fibers or used by themselves, lending sparkle and sheen to all your fiber art projects, including quilts, ATCs, fabric postcards, and wearable art. Here are some tips for getting the best results from these fibers.
  1. Remember, a little of these products goes a long way.
  2. Spread the fibers evenly on the parchment paper before applying the protective sheet and iron.
  3. If using several colors of Angelina or Crystalina fibers together, mix them well before heating. Otherwise, whatever color is on top is what will show once melted.
  4. The fused fibers alone are not sturdy enough for stitching. You will need to bond them to a background fabric first.
  5. The fibers show best on darker backgrounds (such as black polyester felt).
